My opinion is that puppy mill owners are the lowest of the low. If someone can do that to dogs, who can't even do anything to escape such a situation, then they can't possibly have any compassion for their fellow human beings, either. I lump them right in with criminals who harm other people.

Hopefully Leo gets adopted soon. I'm going to send an e-mail over to Corgi Rescue of Eastern New York to see if they can keep an eye on him and intervene if he needs help getting adopted. I wish my children were older so that I could offer to foster or otherwise help. Corgis are few and far between here in NY. :(

Just to let you know, I got in touch with the rescue group and it appears that he's in a no-kill shelter. So he's as safe as he's going to get for now. Hopefully someone will adopt him before too long.
