I decided to be Paul Bunyan, and then it hit me like a ton of bricks:  Paul Bunyan had a trusty sidekick, Babe the Blue Ox. It was pretty obvious who was going to be Paul, and who was going to be Babe.  I've got some more photos on my page, but I'll try to add some here.  Enjoy!
