Dog's do excellent without their teeth. You can actually pull all the teeth in a dog or cat and they can still do fine eating dry kibble. She will adapt easily to losing the tooth. If the enamel does grow back, it will take a lot of time to grow back and while you can see the pulp (brownish bit in the middle) it will be painful for her. Hopefully it heals on its own and she won't need it removed! I know its very common in dogs who chew femur bones and nylabones to break their molars.

awh poor penny:[ that has to be awful, tooth aches are the worst!

i hope penny feels better soon and that her tooth makes a full recovery, regardless of ability to adapt!:P

Percy just had a broken incisor pulled the other day and he seems no worse for the wear.

Bruce has had 10 teeth pulled (he's VERY old!) and he still eats his kibble and milkbones just fine :)
