Does anyone know a way to calm your corgi when you go someplace? We are going on vacation tomorrow and bringing all three dogs but megan hates going to another house but hate being left at our house more. At the beach house she follows us around nonstop and always acts very nervous like she thinks we are going to leave her there. we have tried leaving her at home with a petsitter to come twice a day but she hates that because she thinks we are leaving her here and we hate leaving her. the uppies are perfectly at home wereever we go but does anyone have any tips to help megan have a litttle fun? i mean it is vacation. we bring lots of toys and take her for walks but anything else?

I usually fill a Kong with peanut butter and that generally keeps Skittles occupied until it runs out. Perhaps take the jar with you? ;)
I agree about keeping the dog busy like with the kong...bringing their favorite toy or if they have a blanket they use...something that smells familiar to them can help. Some dogs unfortunately are just nervous that way and I've read the more you fuss over trying to calm them, the more likely they are to stay nervous. Perhaps try to not fret over her so much...maybe if she sees you relaxing and having a good time, she will feel that vibe and relax a bit too... :)
Yes, dogs can sense when you are nervous and that puts them on edge. Have fun and ignore her. Love all over her when she is being good, and calm. She'll get the idea that things are alright.
