Hi. I read somewhere that Corgis should be limited to the amount of stair climbing they do because of their backs. I'm concerned because I have stairs going down to the basement and stairs going up to our room and I am up and down both of them throughout the day and of course, with Ella in tow! I don't want to let her follow me if this could potentially affect her little back down the road, so I was just wondering if anyone has any input on this. Me and Ella would appreciate your advice :) Thank you.

Yes my Ella is a leaper and fearless too. I've been carrying her when we go down the basement stairs (where I let her out to go potty). As far as the upstairs, I've been putting a laundry basket at the very bottom and so far she hasn't figured out how to get past it!
Corgis are great at agility, so I think it wouldn't be a problem so long as they maintain a good weight and not get to heavy?
Interestingly, Murray and I run agility which he absolutely loves, but he has a habit of knocking bars down. He gets to going so fast, he gets ahead of himself, and somehow doesn't think it's that important. On the other hand, he can sit right in front of you and jump right into your lap. His favorite obstacles are the contacts...loves climbing up high.
I've just kind of resolved myself to not worrying about it. We went to great lengths to carry Kadi up and down the stairs until she was about 7 months old. That's when Brodie arrived and showed her how fast a corgi can take the stairs. There is no carrying her now. Trying to do so creates a greater threat of everyone falling down the stairs into a big pile on the concrete floor! They are both completely fearless and jump like Jack Russell Terriers!
