Wyatt spent his first full day at daycare today (8:30AM-6:30PM) and did great. I was even able to check on him while at work because the daycare has webcams. However, after I picked him up I noticed his tummy was rather bloated. I put pressure on it in various places and it was squishy, not firm. Wyatt didn't object or wimper to my pressure tests either. He drank plenty of water and ate his dinner once we got home and kept everything down. He also peed and had two normal bowel movements. I'm 99.9% sure that it's nothing that warrants an emergency vet visit; and based on Wyatt's, ahem *emissions*, I think he just has a terrible case of gas. He is super exhausted, but I think that's more than likely a result of playing all day. His stomach has gone down a bit, and he's behaving normally. Is this a major cause for concern?

"Emissions"...lol...I'm sorry, you gave me a chuckle!  I'm sre Wyatt will be fine....like you said amid the fragrant clouds of fumes, it's probably just gas.  Silly pup.

Glad to hear that he had a good time. He should be ok. Can anyone check out the camcast?

There's a username and password for the cam that they give to all clients. It's pretty cool, there are eight cameras throughout the daycare. At one point, I saw Wyatt and this Golden Retriever were alone in a play room sniffing around like detectives.

My guess is that he was playing so hard that he was panting and drank a bunch of water....I'd say gassy is right.  As long as he's acting OK, he's probably just gotta fart.

I agree, Jennifer. He also drank a TON of water when he got home. In addition to my gas theory, I think Wyatt may have been naughty and snuck into someone else's food. I say that because he woke us in the middle of the night for a potty break, and he took two rather large poops. He's only done that once before and it was for the same reason.

Is Wyatt doing better today:??

He is! Thank you for asking. His tummy is fully deflated and there have been no smelly emissions to note. :)

Yea!!  Wish I could say the same for my husband!!
