Becca and I have two weeks of Fur Fun left. She LOVES the agility portion. I am trying to decide what to do next with her. There are three training facilities within an hour drive that use positive methods. I would like to do rally, she loves agility. I can see us competing in either or both. The closest (Telling Tails) rally class doesn't start until October. Their next agility class isn't posted yet. I don't want to overwhelm her, but she loves class and wants to be busy. I emailed our current trainer for suggestions. Any suggestions from you?

Several dogs in my agility class do both! I bet she could handle it. The obedience will only make your agility stronger, I would think.

I love rally, I think you'd find it really fun!

I did a rally class with my younger dog, Ziggy. I don't know if it was because I was so used to the fast-pacedness of agility, but I found it kind of boring and found it to be more of a challenge trying to keep Ziggy interested in heeling. Right before class, I would do agility with him to calm him down enough for rally. =)

If you are interested in both classes, I would try to get in whatever started first. If you have the time and money, I'd do both. I know my corgis love to be busy too.

In the mean time, you should try picking up some books and start training at home. My favorite books are from Linda Mecklenburg. She has a great one on jumping that really only requires you to have two jumps. You can do a lot of the exercises at home in your living room.
