has she been excessively scratching at her belly? I would use neosporin a couple times a day, if it doenst get better I would definately give the vet a call and bring her in!
Looks like Pyoderma to me, a round of antibiotic should clear it right up.
I wouldn't wait, I would get her in so she can get on antibiotics and clear up the infection, before it gets worse.
her itchy dry belly is no more! the vet recommended a warm bath with oatmeal shampoo dissolved in the water and it cleared it right up, she no longer scratches or licks the spot.
yay!!!
There is a condition called puppy pyoderma that puppies often get. Its just a minor skin infection, can clear up with antibiotics. If she continues to get it, they generally go away after the puppy is spayed/neutered, but usually they will clear up on their own as the puppy gets older. When is your next visit to the vet for vaccines? Just take her in then and get some antibiotics while you are there. With puppies they usually don't really spread and stay in one small area on their belly/groin. If is bugging her take her in sooner, but if its not bugging her or getting worse its safe to wait until her next vet visit for shots.
