as im hunting through google trying to find a dog food that Baden isnt allergic to and seeing just how many brands are out there its over whelming but a question occurred to me. most holistic dog food has lots of berries and veggies in it which is fantastic and everything but am i paying more for a dog food that has berries and such in it just because i think  he has to have that in his food? i mean when i read apples on the label i cant help but think i have never seen a dog eat an apple lol so im just wondering since the more veggies and berries they have on the ingredient list the way more expensive it is

im not trying to start anything, i was curious as to hear what you think on the subject

I swear by Honest Kitchen. Most of their foods are poultry based. They have a new duck formula for sensitive dogs, but it costs more than the other grain free option. You mentioned he likes bison best, so I don't know if it would work for you.

i have always wanted to feed my animals this brand because its a great food but its just so expensive :(

We got started on the raw meat thing with our first corgi -- serious skin itching, gnawing sores -- disappeared rpomptly when Lori started the raw meat diet.  There's a Seattle company called Darwin's; delivers frozen raw meat to our door (organic, and a less expensive non-organic line).  You might find something comparable in your area.

Al loves apples.  He always gets the cores.
