Hey there...Becket officially turned 4 months on Monday<3 and what a little personality that hes developed...one that favors my boyfriend greater than myself-
I find that even though Im trying to be the disciplinarian, my boyfriend gets a better "reaction" from Beckett when hes told to do something.
Maybe im just being sad that hes just never as excited to be with me as Daddy, my boyfriend things its because he doesnt take me seriously when I get mad...
Like when he has accidents in the house
Anyone have any advise?

This is exactly how Lola is with me. She always wants to sit in my lap, chase me around the house, and she always sleeps right next to me. I walk her, feed her, play with her, and everything fun, and my boyfriend just sits back and pretty much has nothing to do with her. But if he points a finger at her she will sit immediately, and he doesn't have to say a word. She knows I am her mommy and I give in easily, and daddy doesn't =)
it could be the tone of your husbands voice. They seem to react to different sounds and tones in a certain manner. I have never spanked Gizmo.. I just change my tone of voice. and he reacts to that. I don't think Corgi's do well anyway with "spankings".. I think they may hold grudges. LOL
Ok Im defintaly going to start on my more assertive voice. Im also trying to contain my really excited tones for when he does something extra extra good ;)
You are on the right road.. They are such intuitive little dogs.. Sometimes I think they can really read your mind.
I'm the one who takes care of Theo, but Theo always seems way more excited to see my husband than me. I think it's because my husband doesn't give him as much attention, and works long hours sometimes. I'm thinking Theo shows him more attention because he's hoping to get more attention back (which totally works).

I think men tend to get a better response because of their deeper voices. When I make my voice deep and hard Theo responds better, but I also sound like a tool. :p Theo might do what Husband says faster, but he definitely in general minds me better and stays by me.

It's hard not to get jealous though sometimes.

Colleen, don't get mad at Becket for having accidents in the house. Remember, if he has an accident, it's your fault, not his. Puppies have accidents. It happens. Just make sure he has plenty of opportunity to go in the right place. :) If you want Becket to take you seriously, you have to actually follow through with your commands. If you want him to sit, and he won't, help him into the position, and then praise him. It doesn't have to be about dominance or taking you seriously.
My dogs favor my husband more, but that is because they can walk all over him. I am, for lack of a better word alpha, in the house. I am strict about giving them "people" food, going out, ect. John on the other hand is the giver of all things. Doritos, Cheetos, Lays, Cheez-its: the dogs get a taste of everything he eats. Don't get me wrong, the dogs are happy to see both of us, but it seems they favor my husband more.

Remember that dogs are different that people, though we all like to think they are our children. He is still a puppy and may just be going through a stage. Sorry I can't give any better advice.
Gizmo has days that he seems to favor me and other days he favors my husband. I think he is actually smarter than we are because he reacts to what ever his "wants" are at that moment. I am the alpha in the house.. and therefore.. he doesn't get away with that much with me. My husband is much more the push-over for Giz and sneaks him treats, etc. where i don't. But I feed them and at dinner time I am Gizmo's favorite person in the world.. The dog has a major fixation on meal time.. Everyday he eats like he will never get another meal.. I have to be careful how much I give him, or he would eat till he couldn't walk!! LOL.
