Extremely silly. So I'm sitting on the bed with the laptop, listening to this bit of fluff when Cassie, who's o the floor with Ruby, goes BONKERS. Ruby has to follow through with some carryings-on, but mostly in the "me too" mode.

I lift Cassie onto the bed. She instantly realizes the canine sound is coming from image on the computer screen. She stares at it in amaze, ears straight up and head tilting first one way and then the other.

After she gets tired of this, I lift Ruby onto the bed and play the video for her. Nothing. Well, not much. She doesn't seem to register the image on the screen at all. She apparently thinks the "laugh" is coming out of the external hard drive, which happens to be plugged in. Oddly, she doesn't seem impressed.

Weird difference, eh? How does your corgi respond to this video? Or does s/he?

It definitely caught their attention! They kept tilting their heads and learning in trying to figure out what was happening.

Strange that Ruby didn't seem to register it at all. I wonder if something's wrong with her hearing? That doesn't seem to be the case...she hears every distant yap of the neighbor's dogs and knows when someone's in the alley. Maybe she thought it was just another of the wacky things that entertain humans and so therefore irrelevant to the reality of dogs.

It appeared that Cassie could see the fox image on the screen and recognized that it was some sort of dog. Or space alien. Or whatever.
