Hi Emily,  Your page  caught my eye and I just had to reply,  I also was raised in southern Indiana (Terre Haute), we are retired military, and we now live in Hereford, AZ!  I have a 4 year old sable Pembroke who has 1 blue eye and 1 brown eye - his name is Gator Baby.  We got him from a breeder in Tucson.  Baby loves truck rides and riding in our Polaris RZR.  He was a big switch from our Chow Chows and German Shepherds.  He loves to sleep in our bed and is very bossy.

Hi!  Your Corgi is just too cute for words!  Well... our rescue didn't work out.  We had him one night and he really didn't like our other dogs.  I think we are going to have to get a puppy.  I think he needs to start out as a puppy with our dogs.  I was hoping to rescue but it didn't work out.  We are going to check out another puppy tomorrow.  It appears they are all sable.  I'm trying to find some more information on that color.  It's hard to find the color they will be based on the puppy color.  I just love the color of your little guy.  I think mine is going to be called Kevin. :)

I love Cooper:)  We have a Pembroke as well and our boy is 9.  He's a mellow boy yet has his moments where he can run and play.  I think they just feel loved and don't pretend to be something they're not.  Our boy loves to ride in our Mini Cooper:)  Enjoy!

AZ Cactus Corgi Rescue is a great, if small organization and well worth supporting.  Vicki Combs runs it and is bonkers for Corgis and utterly devoted to rescuing them.   Gromit and I will be at the picnic, it's the pinnacle of our fall social season.  :-)

Emily,  If you have not found it already, there is an Arizona Corgi group here on MyCorgi.  There will be a Corgi picnic in the Phoenix area sometime in October.  It is sponsored by Arizona Cactus Corgi Rescue but the date has not been set yet.  It would be quite a haul up there for you but the event always has a great turn out of 40 - 50 Corgis and their Corgi mad owners.

Hi Emily, to answer your question: Casa Grande is about 40 miles south of Phoenix and 60 miles north of Tucson. It's a wild an exciting place like Sierra Vista!

Welcome. I grew up with Corgis, too; always had pairs of red & whites. Now I have one red & white, Lucy and finally a tri-boy, Ricky.

Twin Peaks! Hey Coop, how's the pie? Man, that show freaked me out more than anything I've seen since. Genius.
