I just realized how many people have corgis that like the water. Charlies hates the water, he is afraid of plastic bags, the water hose and flies ( only flies in the house, he tries to herd flies if he sees them outside).
These are just a few of the strange little oddities about him that I call "corgi quirks". Does anyone else have precious babies with corgi quirks?

Autumn loves the hose, tub and the beach. I can't take a shower unless I lock her out of the bathroom. Then she just barks & growls the whole time. When she chases the hose I spray it from one side of the yard to the other. When she gets to one side she barks then turns around and runs the other way barks, turns around runs the other way barks... for hours and hours! If you take her to the beach she bites the edge of the waves. But good luck getting her to leave. She just plants her little feet and wont budge for anything! You have to pick up sandy wet Autumn and carry her back to the car.

Autumn also has this intense fear of doors closing by themselves. From wind, or if you push it closed without your hand on it the whole time. She growls whines shakes and hides. She just started this recently though and I can't figure out why.

If I leave her (weather permitting) in the car by herself she hides on the floor. Which I like. Shes so cute I think she knows someone might try to steal her!

Autumn also does not allow running or play fighting in the house. Oh and she hates my roommates golden, Leo doing tricks too.

I see her herding instinct come out when anything with wheels is around... she bites skateboards and the vacuum.
Rylee does not like water one bit - however he loves ice cubes and chasing empty water bottles.

He also is a big grump if I ever wake him up or have to move him because hes napping on me, he can grumble some mean Corgi words...

Rylee also has a foot fetish, especially right after I get out of the shower - he will chase me around and then proceed to lick my feet an ankles for a good 5 minutes...

He is scared by anything resembling a garbage bag, vaccum cleaner, swiffer, or curtain...
Oh and he howls when I hug my boyfriend.

Gotta love our little Corig butt's
my corgi hated vaccums (pretty sure-she would go into attack mode) but we think she loved the dust buster and we even got her her own as a toy! she hated water but that partly had to do with a bad experience... we were introducing her to our pool and I was in the water getting ready for her, but she ran past all 4 of my family and jumped in to join me... not the slow introduction like we were hoping. she never liked it after that and she would get the Corgi look of pure hate whenever i bathed her.

she was also good at the corgi plant where you couldn't move her if you wanted to! she also didn't like trash bags but she could care less about thunder!

she loved "threatning" bikers... she would lunge at the car window like she was rabid when she was on my lap and they would go by! hillarious!!! she didn't like kissing at all! very weird... i went to kiss my mom goodnight and she though we were killing on another... it was just a peck on the cheek! lol
the two things that helped Roxi love the water again is we got her floaties ;) (a dog life vest) because her bum sank. and we had a friend's dog who loved water that she loved to play with jump in at the same time I would toss her in. (the vest has a handle on top)

Eventually she figured out it was fun to swim with her friend and that she could since she didn't sink like in the past :) After a while if I picked her up her legs would start kicking like she was swimming already hahah!
My dog likes water, but wont go into a lake or something farther then she can stand comfortably. One time she got dunked when she didn't realize how deep the water was, and now she's even more cautious going far from the bank. I've never seen her swim and wonder if corgis even can swim. She really doesn't have quirks except loving to bark at things, especially people who don't greet her as queen of the house when they come in with lots of petting!
oh they swim :) try a life vest. since they are longer then other dogs I think its uncomfortable for them to swim just because their bums sink or float away hhaha but once we got a vest for roxi it pulled her up and held her bum in place and she loved to swim after that.
oh.....yes! Spencer has now decided that he loves to eat crickets!

He also loves the bathtub...if he gets a running start, he can jump right in. He is also obsessed with my hairbrush.
My Lucy is pretty much afraid of anything large and funny shaped that humans carry. Suitcases, hockey bags, brooms, wire hangers, etc. She is also deathly terrified of the vacuum cleaner. We actually placed the vacuum in the entry way of a room we didn't want her in and she steered clear as if they thing may eat her if she got too close :) but she LOVES to swim.
hahahah what a great way to use that fear :) A good training tool!

I learned last weekend that Roxi is scared of big travel rolling bags. When my friend came in to visit for the weekend she just barked madly at it as he rolled it in and wouldn't stop for a while. I asked him if he had a dead body hidden in there ;)
Midgee goes into attack mode when I get out the vacuum. I have to put him outside or in another room. He comes running when I use the oven. As soon as he hears the oven beep, or the timer go off, it doesn't matter what he's doing - he'll be in front of the oven in 3 seconds flat!

He is afraid of frisbees, plastic bags and paper towel rolls. He seems to like the water. Each time we take him to the dog park, he'll go a little deeper into the water. I don't think he'd ever try to swim, but he's not afraid of the water.

He loves to lick things. He'll lick the floor, the rug, our pants, the couch, among other things. I know it's time to vacuum when he starts licking the living room rug : )

Midgee "snorts" when you pet or scratch him. Sometimes he'll just "snort" for no reason. Stuffy nose?!
My Ein is afraid of dvd cases, beach balls, balloons, lightsabers, and cell phones that play music. So cute.
sounds familiar lo
