When do "bad habits" kick in when you haven't neutered/spayed?

I have heard and read that if you don't neuter/spay your corgis in a certain time frame, they will eventually develop and keep their bad habits. Spartacus is now at 8 months, and he is one week away from getting the big snip. Lately though, he's been a bit more vocal and ... HYPER, i even want to go as far to say that he might be longing for physical love if you know what i mean...

My question is, am I too late? Will his barking, lasting hyper energy, and "frustration" last forever now? Or is he merely in his "teenage" years and it'll all pass with time. We go on morning jogs that last for 45 minutes, and then again in the evening for another 45 minutes, and he's usually pooped out at the end of those runs, so I know that "lack of exercise" cant be an issue.

He was a little late in the teething game, and his teeth didn't start falling out until he was early 6 months, so the vet recommended that we wait until he's done losing his baby teeth, and since then, I haven't been able to find a long weekend for me to take off work to be with him during his snipsnip recovery.

Any reassuring and encouraging advice would be veeeery much appreicated. Thanks!

Hello Concerned Corgi Mommy.
I got Dragster ( my corgi) neutered at about 8 months. Its a good time! I could tell drag was starting to long for love also, but after the snip he's never done it again.
I would consider it his teenage years. But your doing a good job at getting it done now.

as far as recovery, alot of TLC will do the trick :D
thanks for the assurance!
