Leg Lifting, is it time to get Sir macKellen snipped?

Ok, so I have a bit of a dilemma. I was really wanting to wait until Sir MacKellen was bit older before I went and got him snipped. I have heard many good things about waiting and how it will leave the dog more of a dog and more developed, less hip problems, less likely to develop health problems, and allows their body to fully mature. however, Mac has been getting a bit more aggressive towards Asher especially, his balls sort of feel like they are already dropping, he's been lifting his leg he's DEFINITELY more feisty, and hes been marking all along the edge of our yard, and trying to mark in spots in the house.
He had been doing really great with his potty training and now he seems to be going a bit backwards. Granted I have been TERRIBLY busy... and for that I feel really bad. But Finals are next week and all of my final projects were due yesterday and yes. I won't get to "Rest" until Sunday. Come Monday I will be calling the vet to see what he thinks. But I wanted all of your opinion as well. When is good to neuter? Should I get him an appointment now or wait until 6 months?

How old is Sir MacKellen? Generally, I suggest clients spay/neuter at about 6 months. But, the leg lifting is a giveaway for me. The minute a male starts that behavior, I suggest they talk to their vet about going ahead with a neuter. Do understand, though, that altering him won't be a quick fix to the aggression and marking. It takes a couple of months for the hormones to exit the system. But it will settle him down some. Just remember, marking is a natural behavior and he will continue to mark. (The neuter fixes the back end but does nothing to un-sniff the sniffer!) Good luck!
have no worries about the finger pointing. I know that this last week I have been so busy and I feel so guilty not being able to give him the time he deserves. I also have the sad issue of trying to either find a home for my big boy Asher, since I can not pay for his surgery. I have been trying to raise money and awareness but nothing seems to be working. So there has been a lot of "pet stress" around the house of late. I do often feel like I am not doing enough for either of them and After this weekend and finals being over I will be able to at least spend more time with them. THank you for your comment though about opportunistic corgis.
I didn't know a dog would start lifting his leg before his testicles even dropped or was under 6 months of age. My sister 10 month old (un-neutered) Borzoi just started lifting his leg not even 2 weeks ago! It's totally normal for a dog to cock his leg when going to the bathroom, I haven't seen any full grown males that didn't do it (neutered or un-neutered). All my males dogs did it, lol.

But the aggression towards your other dog is a concern. If he gets too out of hand, firm training (any time you have to spare) and perhaps neutering him would be best to calm him down. When he's fixed, he probably wouldn't feel the urge to assert his dominance over other dogs. Is Asher a male?

I hope everything goes okay! Good luck!
yes Asher is a male and was neutered at 3 months when i adopted him from a rescue. Asher has been the lowest on the totem-pole *even with the cat* and so now that there is a puppy in the house he himself has been feeling the need to be "over" something, anything, especially Mac. And while I have tried to do things first for Asher to show that he is still first, he has been much more "dominant" acting as well trying to now fight for a position higher than the bottom.
LO was born 7/21 and has been lifting his leg for weeks, I had him scheduled on the 19th but changed it to Monday. I hope it will be ok because it is an early neuter.
