Anyone else out there own a Cojack? My girl is 1/2 Cardigan and the other half is JRT. She has long legs and all the excitement of the jack russell. I am new to Corgi's and looking for advice on what to expect from this mix.

You made a great choice in dog...but make sure to exercise her a ton :) rufus can run for miles ( i often ride my bike alongside him) :) he is a fast learner, does tons of tricks, follows commands well and is generally a great dog. He can get a little vocal - he has a very loud bark for a compact dog. As one of the other people noted, he loves chasing motorcycles, skateboards and attempting to herd anything and everyone that is not in line :) he has humungous ears a long body and stubby legs and gets a ton of attention. He is super agile and can jump straight up and down (tigger-ish), is great at frisbee and is one of the best snugglers around...a total love bug. he does do some quirky things like stick his butt in other dogs face when playing - what is that? - and constantly likes to play with other dogs...he is a social butterfly and gets along with practially everyone at the dog park - big and small - and has zero fear. anyway, he still pulls on his leash during walks and has his meltdowns with anything with wheels (we are working on that - still)

Wow this is years late but I have a Cardigan mix Cojack (his name is Gremlin, pictured above). We got him in early 2008 as a rescue (he was about 3-4 months old). He is high energy outdoors but a bit lazy around the house. He is able to entertain himself with easy (he drags his blanket around like a toddler, we call it his binky). Once you get him outdoors he is super high energy! Best bush dog ever, never need a leash and he is friendly with everything (people, kids, cats, other dogs, ferrets, you name it he wants to be friends). Great mouse hunter and has a tendency to herd other dogs when playing with them which is common in this breed mix I have read. He continually learns new tricks, at almost 7 years now we just last week taught him to put his toys away in his toy box.

Most of the Cojack websites breed descriptions are accurate but Gremlin is a bit larger than their largest estimate (he's 45 lbs of solid muscle).

I have a co-jack and this dog is not lacking in personality.  I love watching her

at agility class, she picks up tricks quickly and is a natural.  When we go for hikes in the

woods I love watching her run leaping over logs and running after squirrels.

The one thing about my co-jack is that she can be very stubborn and it comes at random

times, it is just part of her personality.

My Milly is a cojack too :). Best dog in the world! Super smart, fast runner but not a huge cuddler. Has to be on her terms lol
