After we had to abruptly switch Colby's food (old thread), he is not eating the Blue Buffalo puppy food (lamb and rice). He walks up to it and turns his nose up and walks away. He will only eat it if my wife site by the food and drops a few on the ground, or hand feeds him. He used to tear through his food (when it was Puppy Chow or Nutro Max Ultra) the second we put it in front of him... not anymore!

We think that he either does NOT like the food, or he just holding out for something better (like treats / dog cookies). Last night, we decided to take away his food after about 2 hours of putting it down... and he thanked us by vomiting at 5:00 am this morning.

We have decided to switch to Canidae or Innova (based on what people talk about here). Innova is available at the local Pet Store here in Conway, AR... and Canidae is available at a store in Little Rock which is about 35 minutes away. What do people have better luck with? What are the pros and cons for each for Corgis? I have looked through the dogfoodanalysis website, but I know our Corgis are special and might not conform to what that site has to say. :-)

Thanks!

That is so sad to hear about Zaha! Did she turn away from all foods? When we put the EVO down, Colby scarfed it up. He also eats his treats that we give him.
We were having the same problem with Spike he just stopped eating his food one day, I was so worried. But then we found out that the dog food we were feeding was not that good for him. We switched right away to Canidae als and have not turned back once. He eats his food every single time we put it down for him. The only thing we had to deal with is his farts which were bad but our vet just said to give him plain yogurt and that cleared up in no time. So good luck I hope Colby just didn't like his food like our Spike and its not serious or anything.
There are 2 types of Blue Buffalo puppy food. Max will eat one and not the other.
Both brands are great-- but if she's still a puppy you might want to go with Innova since Canidae is "for all life stages". Also Innova has a light brand for later on-- just in case!
