Hi, everyone! So, Mo and I came home tonight to a spooked Camber. We don't know what happened. We cooked chicken tonight and when we offered her a treat, she wouldn't come. Not like Camber--not like a corgi. When Moses tried to get her to go outside to do her business, she wouldn't go. Then, when he got her outside, she did her business, but then wouldn't go back in the house.

Other than that, she's been acting normally. She ate her dinner and finally ate the treats, but only when we went up to her and gave it to her. Has this happened to anyone before? Camber is an anxious dog, but it must've been something pretty traumatic for her to behave like this, right? Any ideas?

One time Grover knocked over a lamp/table when we were gone and broke the lamp. He was fine, totally fine. But he acted all freaked out and spooked the rest of the night. He pretty much retreated to his crate and didn't want to come out. The next day he was back to his normal crazy self. We think he might have thought he was in BIG trouble and that the crash the lamp made probably really freaked him out too. Not sure!
Hope Camber gets back to normal soon!!
I know I came home once to not be greeted at the door by Ein. I figured he might be really sleepy somewhere and didn't hear me so I started calling for him but I didn't hear any movement. I was starting to freak out but went and checked everywhere and finally underneath my bed to find him laying there fully awake and scared for some reason. I coaxed him out telling him it was ok and held him for a while as he hid (when he gets scared he'll hide his face/eyes under my arm or something). After about five minutes he was fine but I have no idea how long he was there and what scared him so bad.
Charlie is a real baby about certain things like the vacuum, plastic bags and the water monster! (garden hose) These are the main things that I know spook him and there always seems to be something new that freaks him out. I have found that if I ignore his anxious behaviour that he eventually gets better about it. Comforting him when he acts spooked just seems to reinforce his freaky feelings. It's really hard to keep from hugging my baby when I know he's scared of something. I usually tell him when its "vacuum time" so he can go into another room.

Our other dog, a sheltie, is extremely sensitive to loud noises. He barks and acts spooked when loud trucks or cars come into the neighborhood. Some dogs are just really hyper-sensitive. I bet Camber is just fine - just don't stress about it. Sensitive dogs can pick up on anxious feelings too.
Camber was really scared when I got home. She hid under our desk and face towards the wall; not looking towards me. I called her and called her. I know she has to go to the bathroom, and she really tested my paitenence... I grabbed her by the collar and pulled her along the hard wood floor from under the desk. She scurried to her bed in the corner of the room. I then had to push her towards the bedroom door.

She seemed OK, once we got outside, but once inside again, she wouldn't come in to take a treat, and when I did give her a treat, she barely ate. I think she walked away from a second treat.

Not sure what got into her, but I hope she' more outgoing today. We recently did let her stay in our room while we are gone. That is where her doggie bed is. Today, we closed the door to that room so it's back to the way it was. It's harder for her to escape me when I get home now and easier to get her outside.

Will post an update if she being difficult again today.
Hi, everyone

Well. Came home today and Camber greeted me at the door. She looked really, really happy to see me and ran out the door after me and started playing and running around. Looks like whatever spooked her, she's over it. Thanks for all your help, everyone!!
Good! Usually they just get over it on their own! Glad she's okay!!
She seems spoked every day around 16:00, whether we just got home or have been home all day. I wonder what it is about that time of the day? We usually go for a walk around then, and I know she has to go do her business around then... I'd think she would be anxious at 16:00, not hiding...
