so this isn't exactly about a corgi--but my weim instead. We just discovered that his bottom teeth (not his k9s have either been chipped really badly or worn down so much that you can see the core-if that makes any sense to you guys.

What do we do? We are going to take him to the vet tomorrow--but what will happen? Will they pull them out? Cap them? What can I expect? I've never had a dog who had this happen to their teeth.

We can't really figure out what it is from either--it could be his bones that we give both of them or he could be chewing on rocks or limbs when he's outside.

I guess this may be why he hasn't been eating as much either.

hmmm... sounds like you'll need to do some investigation, go through your home and see what he's been chewing on, any furniture taken on a new look :) Depending on the severity, they may cap them. Finding the root of the cause will prevent it from happening again tho. Good Luck!
Do you have a picture of it? My dog had to have root canal done when she was 4 or so. The animal dentist said that the issue has been caused by chewing on ice or chewing on nylabone (which she loved to chew!!). She was an agressive chewer. She didn't chew anything that was inappropriate, but when she was on a mission to chew down her nylabone, she was on!! We couldn't give her the soft one since she would chew down pretty fast, then eats all of it, so we used to giver her the hard one. She doesn't get those any more... after $500 spent on root canal? I don't think so. Hope yours will have better result. :)
