So we have worked through Owen's challenging nature for the most part with walks, good running and play times, and patience (including training). We just discovered that paired with giving him a job during our meal times (watch the line) rewarded with treats and the occasional penny jar shake for the bossy barking - we can have a meal without a hungry corgi nipping at our feet. And at the end of the day we all love each other. We are making it through the "teen years" with our 10 month old little boy (neutered).
Owen has no real issue with guests or people hugging in general or us hugging friends. But my husband and I hugging brings on a real barkfest. I want to laugh but I know he hates that more. He just shouldn't get such an indigant look on his face. I read around but he isn't consistantly jealous or weird with people. If he is jealous, we can't figure out who he is possessive of because he really doesn't favor one over the other. This may be TMI but he is okay if we are close in bed and he is with us.
Is he jealous or weird? Is he an attention hog or does he really just not want a little brother or sister? I guess he doesn't realize that we have enough on our hands with him right now!
Any suggestions? I would just like to be able to hug Matt!
