Hannah usually does okay with her regular collar and leash, but sometimes she pulls way too much and does not respond well to being corrected. So, I decided to give the Easy Walk harness a go. (http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2751027) I measured her, and she is about 17" (she's only 4 months old). I got the small size as the box directed me to. However, it just doesn't seem to fit properly. I know I'm putting it on correctly, but the straps just don't line up like they should and it just looks really uncomfortable. Is it a possibility that she's just too small for it right now? I really had high hopes for this harness, and I'm a bit disappointed now!

I was in this exact situation about a week ago. I bought the size it directed me to and it was just way too big. The small one would have been way too small, and the medium one was too big. And with his legs being so short, all he had to do was lift his front leg and he was out of it. When I finally thought it had to be right, I hooked his leash but the whole front of the collar just came around. It was just too big and didn't fit right. I finally returned it and bought a regular harness that clips in the back and has three straps in the front. The two aound his shoulders and one between his two front legs. That worked out MUCH better. And no pulling! :) hope this helps.
It does seem like her stubby little legs are a big part of the problem. =) I may have to try the regular harness as well. Thanks!
Aww. I guess I'll just have to try something else.
Yeah the lady at petsmart (the trainer I believe) helped me pick out a regular harness and told me to clip it on the front instead of the d ring on the back. It helped a lot, unless we are out with the boyfriend and his dog. Then she'll pull like a bull. The only good thing is, it doesn't hurt me as bad. When we are alone she's really good.
we use the easy walk on winnie and it's helped a lot with walking. she has "trouble" heeling and wanders but the difference with and without the harness is dramatic. winnie is petite (21 lbs, 1.5 yrs old) and we use the small harness. i think hannah might be too small at the moment. all corgis seem to be able to pull a houdini and wiggle out of the harness if it's even marginally loose, but most of the time it's ok. also, we use the lead attachment on the front - do not use the attachment at the top of the back unless you're looking for a workout :)
We had the same problem, luckily our trainer let us swap it out for the premier sure fit harness (sounds like what people are describing as a regular harness) and we also clip the leash to the o-ring on the front to stop the pulling, not the D-ring on the back. It works great and we love it.
Hmm. I'll have to look for that one and see if it will fit better. I was really wanting to avoid a regular harness, but with the o-ring in front, it sounds like it works just as well.
