We got Winnie two weeks ago and are trying to figure out what to feed her. There are so many options and then there are the two big camps of dry kibble vs raw food. we just aren't sure what to do. any ideas? comments? rants?

Thanks!

ps we are feeding her right now :D a dry kibble based on chicken and chicken meal

Shelby recently switched from Blue Buffalo (No complaints about their food...it's really good! It was just giving Shelby STINKY breath!) to Innova...and I have to say she's doing fantastic. She's a little on the smaller side for a Corgi...so we have to really watch her weight and such...and she's done great!

My only two-cents...is to not use the bag's guide as to how much to feed your dog...they are often off by +/- 50%! Both brands were telling us to feed over a cup of food for Shelby (she's around 22lbs...and could still afford to lose a pound)! If we fed her over a cup of food a day, she would look like a watermelon. LOL!
As an update... winnie is a year an a half at this point she gets natures variety raw (we change the type all the time) and evo small bites (the chicken one). she has been on this diet for almost a year (1/3c dry in morning half patty raw evening). she weighs about 20 lbs and she is happy and healthy. she likes both dry and raw food which gives us flexiblity with her feeding and with no grain in her main diet I don't mind her getting all the treats at training.
