my Corgi has thrown up at least once for the last 4 days. It is only a little bit each time, and it looks like bile and not undigested food. He eats normally and his stool is normal. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this normal?

Thanks!

Your baby may be nervous... Kota does that sometimes. But it also may be something else. You could call your vet office and get an oppinion over the phone on whether it would be best to bring the lil guy in to get him checked out. Good luck. Keep us updated!!!
Is there a pattern as to when he's throwing up? Sometimes Corgis can't go too long with an empty stomach, and will vomit in the AM after a long night (mine has done that). I give my guys a cookie before bed (they have dinner around 4-5, so they get the cookie around 10, and then we are up at 6), and I haven't had the problem since. If you poke around the various forums, you'll find similar discussions like this one. Although, believe me, I go to the vet at the drop of a hat, just to rule out anything worse!
Welcome to my world! lol Dragster throws up when he eats anything foreign, including certain dog treats. Put a cup or yogurt in with your babies food. Make sure it has active/live cultures like Activia. Drag loves peach :D. It works miracles.
cup of* yogurt lol.
My Aussie threw up a lot as a puppy so it never really worried me unless it went on for too long. My general rule is if he has been vomitting for more than 24 hours I call the vet and tell him what is going on. From there, he will either recommend a course of action or want to see him. Good luck!
My vet has always told me that as long as they don't vomit and have diarrhea both - they should be OK. Both could lead to dehydration which can be a very bad thing. Could your baby be eating grass? My dogs often vomit bile and grass after they have been outside grazing. Also an empty stomach can often cause them to vomit bile. If it continues - you should absolutely consult your vet just to be safe.
I agree with a couple of people here. If the vomits seems to be in the morning, your dog may not be able to handle an empty stomach. Duncan was like that. So, he gets a couple of small "cookies" (treats) before he goes to bed.
Finn was having vomiting issues as well. The first day he was very sick and threw up all day even after licking an ice cube so we did go to the vet. he gave him a shot to stop the vomiting and he was fine for a couple weeks then he threw up again (3 times in a row) then a few days later he did it again (twice in a row). Each time was bile only and it was in the morning. We asked our vet if something could be stuck in his gut causing him to get sick and he said as long as he is eating and going to the bathroom he would not be concerned about that. He said it's probably a sensitive stomach and to give him a snack before bed and give him a Pepcid when needed. We've been giving him food before bed and he hasn't thrown up so hopefully that was the cure. You may want to try this as well.
Thanks to eveyone for your advice and input! I gave him some snacks before bedtime last night and this morning he did not throw up!
Yay! My Bertie had a sensitive tummy, and he was the first dog I'd had in years, so I totally understand the concern. Glad the snacks helped. You know a Corgi, anything for a snack!
ein does this from time to time. actually he did it this morning. they get acid reflux from time to time. make sure to give them their meals the same time everyday. their stomachs produce a lot of acid and when there's no food in them for a good while, their acid makes its way back up.
Tuesday, Nutmeg had a normal day. We played after work, and then about 9 pm, she became MANIC. She would not stop! Play Play Play! At midnight, I put her in her crate, as is normal. She started barking (which is not normal). I finally gave up 15 minutes later and brought her into my bed. She layed down and fell asleep. She NEVER sleeps in my bed, and I don't want this to be the habit...but I needed to sleep. 4:30 am...I hear the worst...gag..gag..gag.. puke... I get up, and go grab a towel. In the meantime, she pukes again! It's pure food. No liquid. She ate at 6:00pm..hours earlier. I put her back in her crate and tried to get another hour of sleep on the floor next to her crate. I got her out at 6:00, and she was FINE!!! Next day, no probs... I dont get it!
