X men Origins - Wolverine

Just saw the movie last night, here are my thoughts: (Spoiler alert)

1. Watching Hugh Jackman as Wolverine makes you want to exercise - at least for a day.
2. X force was quite bad ass
3. Wade Wilson and his swords! Ryan Reynolds is perfect in that role
4. Professor Xaiver's cameo was weird because of the CGI :(
5. Taylor Kitsch as Gambit was good, too minor role tho, wish there was more action.
6. Will.I.Am 's role was weak :(
7. Weapon XI + Deadpool - not liking the combo rewrite, a little weak on the villain side
8. Which alternate ending did you see in the end credits? Weapon XI or Japan?
9. Hugh Jackman should play "Solid Snake" in the Metal Gear Solid Movie, he's perfect for it, here's a capture from the opening scene. Made me skipped a heartbeat.

I enjoyed the movie but was disappointed with the story changes they made. They could have stayed more true to the comics but chose not too, whatever, still a fun film.

Hugh Jackman was awesome as always.

Some of the CGI was bad including how fake Wolverine's claws looked in the bathroom scene and the attempt at making Professor X look young.

Some parts were a bit too unrealistic like when Wolverine blocks Weapon XI's beams with his claws, come on.

All the charactors were played well (especially Ryan Reynolds as Wade. Would have liked to see more of him) except for Gambit. Gambit is my #1 X-Men love and I was beyond disappointed. The kid playing him wasn't a very good actor, wasn't the best look for Gambit and lacked the personality, charm and (most importantly) accent of Remy LeBeau. Surely they could have found an actor that could do a Creole accent. This guy had no accent the majority of the time and occasionally had a southern (Texas) accent. I could go on forever about how badly they messed up Gambit but I think you get the picture.

The ending I saw was the one with Weapon XI but I was hoping for the Japan ending. :(

I completely agree with Alice, I've loved X-men for as long as I can remember but I thought the movie was so bad it was funny. I don't know how they came up with the story line but I am very disappointed. I too have always had a soft spot for Gambit, I heard a rumor that there will be a Gambit spin off movie now, I don't have much hope for it now after seeing Origins. I've talked to many people that have liked it but they never followed the comics or cartoons. And, I would love Hugh as Solid Snake <3

Ya, most people I talked to that loved it never followed the story. I had been hoping for a Gambit movie but after watching this film I too have lost hope. :(

Also, who attacked Emma Frost with a BeDazzler?! Last time I checked her skin tranformed to become made of diamond not diamonds. :) That was good for a laugh!
