......anybody else's Corgi have or had any obsessive paw licking to contend with? I love my "schnoodle-puppy" so very much - but if this keeps up ........arrrgghhhh :):):)Jodi started licking her paws almost obsessivly as the weather turned colder. She spends time outside during the day, but not a great deal. There is no salt on the ground (to de-thaw the snow as we haven't had any yet) - nothing has changed other than the weather that I can tell. There is nothing visibly wrong with her paws - so I"m stumped. Is this psychological in nature? H-E-L-P :):):)

Cricket does this constantly!! She has licked the hide off one of her feet, and she's so loud about doing it! A friend told me to try and get her nails clipped, as the hardwood floors may be giving her pains if her nails are too long, but I haven't been able to get into the vet.

I hope it's not an allergy :(
Do you have a Petsmart nearby? If so, then you can get Crickett's nails clipped and filed smooth for only $10. Good luck.
Thanks to Corgi Mom and Maryanne! I will try both of these remedies ASAP and let you know!
CRICKET MAY HAVE ALLERGIES....WHAT WORKS FOR MY CORGI ( AND I KNOW ITS ALLERGIES FOR HIM) IS A 1/4 TEASPOON OF SEAMEAL BY SOLID GOLD.........WORKS LIKE A CHARM. GIVE IT A TRY.

MARYANNE
I would suspect that your answer is exercise, exercise and more. Many dogs develop different behaviors in the months that they do not have as much outside time. Add to the walks if weather permits, get creative and come up with some indoor games to keep her mind busy, pick up a book for training new tricks. I think you will find this greatly reduces the problem.
