Our "sweet" little Samantha has lots of toys/chews. She has a stuffed elephant, rabbit & racoon. She has a kong, rubber tug-of-war, football, tennis ball, rubber ball with holes all around & a medium size harder ball she can jump on chase around. She has an old sleeve off of a shirt, old towel, nylon chew bones various small chew toys that are cloth a worm & a ring. But what has kept her occupied the most are fingers, toes, shoes, carpet, furniture, plants out side, computer phone line(we were only down for 1 day) and my favorite the wall paper in the kitchen. Evidently she doesn't like the design and insists it comes down!
Okay seriously what we have found that to get and keep her interested in somehting it has to have our smell all over it so we hold stuff, rub it in our hands and don't let her have it right away. Kinda play tease with it then when she seems more interested play a little with the item and let her get it away. Seems like it's more of a prize then.
We also give her a rolled up chew that has stuffing in the middle those tend to last a while longer then the flat ones. Teething is such fun for both our pups and us ain't it?

Sounds like our pup. Tons of toys but would rather nip at heels, pant legs, shoe laces, fingers, and goes nuts for toes and flip-flops.

I have had a difficult time finding toys that my older pup won't destroy (Leo is a serious chewer and likes to take things apart). Randy likes most of the toys the boys have, mostly hard rubber things, ropes, 3 squinky balls (they are cheap and squeek and seem indestructable), and Kongs. I let then have rawhide strips and they both love those. You do always need to watch them with that kind of chew. They love pig ears. Poor Randy can't have any stuffed toys as big brother would kill them right away. Kong type toys that you can hide some kibble or treats in work well to keep them occupied for awhile. I wish my dogs would take down my kitchen wallpaper...it's awful. Lol.

Izzie really enjoys playing with bully sticks. If you don't know what they are, you really don't want to! They are similar to rawhide though, and stand up to her determined chewing. I just replace them when they become too gross to stand.

She enjoyed rawhide too much, as she had more fun ripping off pieces than chewing.

Bully sticks and a kong stuffed with peanut butter are pretty much the only things that keep Harry from trying to tear something up or nip at our toes. I definitely recommend the bully sticks - I know they're gross, but if you get the high quality natural ones they last for weeks and provide many hours of quiet time for the puppy parents.

Sadie enjoys her tennis balls, and stuffed carrot and bone toys. I tried giving her rawhides before and they only made her have really bad farts and smelly poop, so we stopped giving her those. She does like to play a lot and is always wanting us to play along with her, squeeky toys are her favorites.

We just bought Tank's first squeak toy the other day - it's a carrot that looks like the one in the movie Bolt (which by the way, I think Bolt is a Corgi!)

Anyway - I wish I would have video taped our little guy when he first made it squeak - he was so surprised! - Absolutely hilarious!

I also agree with the latest rawhide comment - we've had smelly poo too - never tried the bully sticks, but I'll go look for them.

My beagle puppy, Galoot didn't really like the puppy kong either but she did like the ziggies that went inside the rubber kong. I bought one for my Corgi pup, Pengu.. we'll see if she likes it when she gets here.

Oh yeah.... Zee Booly Shctick!!!! Stinky as all get out but a never failing distraction.
Bully sticks are a bit icky but our dog LOVES them....they are like THE MOST super special goody ever!

Ok, so we tried a bully stick - got one that was about 7" long. He played with it for a couple hours and barely made a dent, but the next day when I gave it to him again (while I took a shower - must make sure unsupervised play is going to keep his attention!) I got out and he'd almost worn it down to a nub! How big of a stick do you all get your pooches? Tank's about 4 months old and probably about 15-17lbs by now. Any size recommendations?

Another question: peanut butter....Tank LOVES it, but I don't know how healthy it is for him - have you all heard anything? Sometimes I smear a little into the hole in the KONG, but I try not to give too much.

I know that this discussion is a few months old now, but I came on here today with the same question as your original post. I'm curious to know what actually did work the best with Tank. My puppy, Stella, is almost 15 weeks old and has entered a super teething phase. She just completely destroys all of the bones and toys made for puppies, and I used to be able to give her a mini dingo bone, but now she has started to swallow the ends (like you mentioned about Tank). I'm definitely going to try the bully stick that everyone mentioned-I had never hear of them before. What size did you find to be the best? If you could give an update on what worked best for you, that would be great.
