That is sad but she's a realist I guess. I know one of my favorite corgi pictures is of Her Majesty walking the pack through a field. I often wonder if corgis are more popular in England than here because of her.
Only if they truely love, want & understand them. The Queen probably feels no one could take care of her Corgis as she has and as they age so does she. Sad though when you think about it though. But understandable.
I was thinking the same thing. Before too long she'll be too old to care for them properly. Maybe she feels nobody could care for them like she does. It's sad, but to me they'll always be "The Queen's Dogs"
You maybe right. That lady has long had a strong dedication to all animals in her life. She will always have a special place in my heart for what she has done for our Corgi friends.
I have a tendency to to agree with the comments in regards to not thinking that someone will care for them as she has, but on the same hand, I am sure there is someone on staff in charge of them all now.
I am also a fan of not breeding them as there are so many other dogs in shelters who need homes more than we need new puppies.
I think she made the correct choice. She is elderly, and has staff but she does love her Corgis, I am sure she wants to be able to enjoy them and wants to make sure that they are loved. How many of us will admit that we saw the movie "Queen" to see some corgis?
