Jasper's last set of Puppy Shots!

Jasper got his last set of puppy shots today! I feel like he's growing up so fast! He's 18 weeks old today and weighed in at a healthy 18.5 lbs. He was such a good boy and didn't even flinch when he got his shots. The only problem is that he is still a cryptorchid. I think that's just the way he's going to be, since the vet says his other testicle is all the way up in his abdomen still, but I think I'm going to wait until he's 6 months old to get him neutered just in case it drops. Has anyone else had issues with this? Is it better to wait or should I go ahead and make him an appointment to get neutered now? I'm still hoping that it will drop, but I heard that it's easier for pups to heal when they're younger.

Comment by Courtney and Raymond Tan on June 2, 2009 at 5:07pm: Wim also has had only one testicle drop, he is younger (14 weeks) so we still have quite a bit of time but our veterinarian is more concerned that he grows to the proper size and has no issues with temperament and will do an internal neutering if it doesn't eventually come down.
