IL regional Cardigan Breeder?
Does anyone know of a Cardigan breeder near the far NW suburbs of Chicago? When I say near, I mean w/ in 2-3 hours drive. My husband and I are looking for a pup to add to our family. We definitely want a Cardigan and we'd like him soonish, but we're willing to go on a waiting list. We don't want to have a puppy shipped, which is why we're looking for a place we could drive to. Thank you for any info you could share!

If you're looking for a cardi, get on the Cardigan Welsh Corgi Club of America (CWCCA) website and do some research. That is how I found my breeder and I've been thrilled. The CWCCA gave her an excellent recommendation. I was able to research her background in the breed and the two dogs she was going to mate and their backgrounds, as well. It has been a very, very pleasurable experience. And, the breeder was in-state of all things!

Try Steppenwolf Kennels in Constantine, MI. Her name is Kristi and that's where I got my dog from. She is very down to earth and a very nice lady. Her dogs are beautiful as well!! :)

We found a breeder outside of Rockford and we're very excited because in a little over a week a little Cardigan pup will be coming home to us! Thank you all for your suggestions.
