Hello. We just adopted a Corgi puppy and when we went to visit him we saw that he had bright blue eyes. Is this normal for Corgi puppies?

Mine had blue eyes when young, they eventually went grey and are now brown at 6 months, I would say unless he is a merle cardi (merle have a disposition for blue eyes no?) that its likely they will mellow. Our vet also commented seeing them saying 'his eyes are still blue too, or some such.
The majority of puppies are born with blue eyes from what I've seen. Eventually most will turn brown unless your dog just has blue eyes. How old is he?
He is 6 weeks old. He is also all black with white paws. I am sure that he will change his colors as he gets older as most animals do. His mother is the tan color and his father is black and tan.
He will definitely change colors. Eyes and fur. Dax's eyes were brown by the time he was 5 weeks old. His fur was grey and black with just a little bit of brown. His paws, belly, chest, and nose were white. He even had a large black section on his back, which my mother was convinced meant he was a tri, but I was convinced otherwise. All the grey/black is now red, and he has some sabling on his shoulders. Oddly enough, all the black he had when he was a puppy was what turned red, and there was no black on him where he is sable now. Chances are, what your puppy looks like now is nothing like what he'll look like when he's grown up.
Young corgis do have blue eyes but not typically "bright" blue. As they age they go to a shade of grey and eventually to brown. The color of brown may range greatly. Periodically pems can have one or both blue eyes. This in no way affects the dog physically. I seem to see it occur more frequently in dogs that have a huge amount of white. I have no knowledge of the genetics that may be responsible to make this occur. Best to ask the breeder if she has ever had blue eye pups or know of related dogs that have. Having blue eyes is considered a fault according to the standard but in no way affects the quality of a pet corgi.
Is his nose gray?
Our corgi is a bluie, which means showing is out of the question, however there is nothing wrong with him apart from coloration.
It's a fault in one of the genes that controls pigmentation in corgis. Atlas's gums are liver and pink colored (instead of black) his nose is a dark gray, his eyes are a beautiful shade of blue with brown mixed in, and on his coat, the hair that would usually be black is more of a gun metal gray color.
His eyes are starting to go brown now. You can see it when the sunlight when you are looking from the side. Same thing as his baby fur it is starting to go to, you can see that when you ruffle the fur you see the gold roots. I never new of a breed of dog that had blue eyes as a baby go to brown as they matured.
I've noticed that a lot of newborn mammals have blue eyes...I've seen it in kittens and humans...they almost always change.
