Hey friends. I noticed today that Dragster was having trouble going to the bathroom. Im sure he ate something funky or something that isint helping. I heard his tummy growling this morning eventhough he has food. He has upset stomach and acid refulx problems so i give him yogurt. I think that helped a lot but i can tell his uncomfy. What can i give him to loosen things up? Maybe some sort of oil in his food? Thanks,

Vegetables seem to help a little. Make sure he is drinking lots of water.
good luck.
Pumpkin helps for constipation (and diarrhea ironically). Maybe you can try that.

Keep an eye out for other symptoms (not eating, vomiting) in case there is a blockage or something more serious.Tucker went days without pooping when he was put on anti-diarrhea meds and I felt so bad for him! If he has lots of tummy problems maybe the food he is on doesn't agree with him..

Hope he is feeling better soon!
Thanks. Yes he ate a little bit ago and i snuck some olive oil in there. I think he got into some gum.. lol
what kind of gum? Sugarless gum with Xylitol? Xylitol can be toxic to dogs, not to scare you, but just wanted to make you aware. Hopefully if it wasnt sugarless it didnt have xylitol in it or hopefully didnt get too much. I would still check with your vet though. Not all vets are aware of Xylitol being toxic. Let me know what you find out.
Agreeing with Amanda. Pumpkin (canned not filling) is great for it. Also, I've splurged with a bit of maple syrup on top. LOL. The fur-kids like it and their little bowels opened up just fine. Keep your eye out for straining and possible irritable bowel. You might see a bit of blood in the stool.
He didnt eat any gum after all. I found out it was just a package. I put some olive oil in his food and everything is moving along today :) thanks
Thank Goodness!! :)
Glad to hear he is doing better!
