Kong Zoom Groom

Hi Everyone! I would love to know the opinions of some veteran corgi owners - at petsmart, while picking up all of our supplies for our new corgi, the associate helping us recommended the Kong brand Zoom Groom as a good brush for Flash our 11 week old. I've used it on him and it doesn't seem to attract any fur, but I also don't think he's shedding right now. All the online reviews I've read of this product state that it's amazing and it works on all breeds, collecting the undercoat "before it hits the floor". Have any of you tried this product, or is there something that works better to reduce shedding? Thanks!

i have multiple dogs, and not all Corgi's.
The Furminator is definately MUCH more efective than the zoom groom on my Corgi. (though I still am annoyed by having to pull the hair out of th furminator after every stroke and get fed up with it anyway)
The zoom groom is neat for baths, but is most effective on dogs with super short coats. I prefer the zoom groom to the furminator for our Boxer, but prefer the Furminator for our corgi and shepherd.

Having to pull the fur out is my problem with it, because then it clings to me and it's annoying. I was so upset that I bought mine and now they have one with a little button that pushes the hair out! I'm thinking about selling mine on eBay and buying the new one. Lol.

It is annoying. It creates so much static that hair ends up sticking everywhere. I just used mine last night and got aggravated then switched to the slicker brush.

I found this product is good at loosening the guard hairs. The furminator is undoubtedly better at fur removal though. If I leave this brush in 'corgi reach' it turns into a chew toy. (This means if I walk away to vacuum myself off)

If you use the zoom groom, be aware that fur will be everywhere. The magical static powers the packaging boasts doesn't work well with corgi fur. If I could return mine, I would. I use it rarely and only bought it because at the time I had no idea how much my dog would shed, or for that matter, what a furminator was.

Rockstar does love when I brush him with this though.
