Help! I really want to breed Grace with another Pembroke Welsh corgi AKC, but want a real dog, not mail sent:)) If you know a male corgi not spade I would love the info. I would be willing to give them one of the puppies or a little money for the time. If any of you wonderful corgi owners know an eligeable bachelor, Please email me at info@slideandbounce.com Thank you Kristi

Hehe cute picture, Alice. Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you as well!

By the way, Vivi did great during our vacation (we went to my parents' house again). He even encountered my sister's two little sons (ages 1 and 3) and did not show any aggression. He would run away if they got out of hand, but that's it. At one point the 1 year-old's jumping actually incited a play bow and he wanted to be chased, lol. Vivi is a great dog. :) We hope you all can meet him soon!

Happy Holidays everyone! Hope the new year brings much happiness and prosperity and everything that '09 lacked. :)

I think it is a personal preference. Most veterinarians recommend keeping them on heartworm year round in Arizona, and the American Heartworm Society recommends it year round no matter where you live. I've also heard keeping them on medication from May to December.

I've been trying to learn more about heart worms and some sites say it's not a big problem in AZ while others say it is. What have all of you been told about heart worms? Do you have your dogs tested? How often? Are they on prevention meds?

Hopefully Vivi will be confident enough to go to the next meetup. It takes him a while to warm up to dogs still. He's not aggressive at all, but he runs away if a stranger dog approaches and wants to sniff. He's doing really well after getting to know my parents' dogs though.

Maybe we could have a meet up on the 5th or 12th? After then things tend to get hectic :). We live on the west side in Surprise.

Oh my gosh! I've never been to that park but a lot of people seem to like it. Sorry it didn't work out for you.

We haven't plan a meet up since the October one but we're up for a get together. Now that it's cooled off we can meet earlier. I guess we'll have to get a discussion going.

Hi everyone! Any upcoming Corgi get-togethers planned before the holidays? We took Chase to Cosmo dog park in Gilbert today, but it was so disgusting we wouldn't even let him walk around. We could not believe the piles of poop and it just smelled bad. Plus someone posted a notice saying their 7 month old puppy had died from Parvo which they think she picked up there. Scary stuff!
