Don't you love that subject! I know this is gross, but Gracie has a lot of hair on her butt. We're having trouble with her poo getting stuck in there. Part of the issue is probably diet. She has such a sensitive tummy that we have been dealing with. She had a bug last week that she was treated with antibiotics for. But before that, she has had an in issue with gas. She is on California Natural Chicken and Rice. I think we're going to have to change again. She was on Iams, Solid Gold, Wellness and we keep having issues. My question is, what is good to clean her butt with? I've been using a rag and even putting her in the tub. Also, what is a good food for sensitive tummies? A good firm stool would be wonderful! Sorry to be so graphic!

We have used Eukanuba low residue diet for our 10 yr. old corgi since he was a puppy and it works very well. It's easy to digest and the end product is just what you're looking for :-)

Also, you can trim back her "pants" a bit around the area. We have done this for ours and it helps Good luck!
Aw poor Gracie! Lol! Do you know what meat sources were in her other foods? Were they all chicken or were they something else? You could maybe try switching to lamb, turkey or beef. I had Nibbler on a chicken food and she is now eating lamb for a few months before switching back to chicken, to prevent her from developing an allergy to it. I have also heard that when dogs eat a food that has a high amount of meat in it, it tends to firm their stool a bit more. Nibbler hasn't had any poo problems yet so I don't think I can really recommend a food, though when she was on Purina Pro Plan (she was eating it when she was at the breeders) her stool was a little more goopy until we switched her to a food with more meat in it. Right now she's on Blue Buffalo Lamb and Rice and she seems to be doing well on it.
Agree with the Baby Wipes. Killian has had the best luck on Eagle Pack Holistic - we have him on the blue bag (its the fish based one). Good luck on finding something!
