hurt by what my hubby said=(....
i dont know if i am just over reacting or what but this had been the source of out arguments and its driving me insane!!
ok, as u know we have two dogs teddy and snoopy. teddy(corgi) is a super well behaved dog with no problems what so ever. he loves when kids hug/kiss him hes laid back. never barks, is always friendly to EVERYONE and just loves other dogs. and is laid back but is so very fun to play with, hes wonderful....
snoopy(dachshund) on the other hand was the puppy from h*ll no joke!! but now he is 8months, i have worked really hard to get him to like it when people pet him or even look at him for that matter lol he use to absolutely hated other dogs but now after 8months we finally have a break through! he is horrible on the leach, chews up his harness, collar, bed, pants, clothes, and blankets.... i trying to make is so they dont jump is impossible when u have a hubby who is always rewarding bad behavior, he praises when they jump, etc.
and he is always favoring snoopy like when we go for walks and snoopy barks or looks cute he just says 'aw its ok' and then he thinks its ok to bark at other people when they walk by. he has never once said "aww look at teddy" its always snoopy...he gives treats for no reason to snoopy but never teddy. when we got to the beach he plays with him and never teddy, he just pushes him away when ever teddy even comes up to him for attention. and here the cake topper, he makes fun of him for every thing. he calls him fat boy and retard and says "he isnt even a real dog, he dosnt run to chase a ball" and its like ya, cuz u throw it and snoopy get to it faster. but his excuse is that teddy is to fat. and he isnt at all....
idk guys, sorry for ranting but it upsetting when he does this. snoopy in reality is not a "good dog" even though i have worked really super hard since we got him...

Some people just don't like some types of dogs. As strange as it is (because corgis are just too cute) you husband may just not care for corgis. Take any 10 people and put them in a room of dogs and you will get 10 different opinions on what dogs are the best. My sister in law and her husband have a retriever and a beagle, the retriever is her baby and the beagle is his buddy.
I agree with the other posts, you more than likely will never change his mind on the dogs. Agree to disagree. However training that involves snoopy and your husband would be helpful.

i agree with the training, i have to teach and point out everything to him and is finally listening to me, ugh! lol that is an excellent example and very correct. i dont think corgis r his typ of dog but they sure r mine:), as he thinks dachshunds r the most perfect dog.............ya....ok lol maybe if u work ur butt off! hahaha they r not my type, and thats my clue that i have alot of work ahead of me to work this out lol

I just finished looking at your photos and just want to say "good job"!!!!! That Teddy is a real cutie and you can just see the intelligents in his face. And, his ears and eyes have that intense look that just show that he is really paying attention. That is what is important in a good hearding dog, I am sure you know that, but I am wondering if you have tried him out yet at hearding? With all of the farm pictures you have on your page I did not see any real working dog pics. And, if your Teddy is any thing like Bear he loves having a Real Dog Job to do. There ain't nothing more doggly than a dog doing the job that it was bread for, Who wouldn't be proud of that. Let him try to get his winnie dog to heard! HaHaHa!

lol thank u :) im glad u also think that teddy is smart! he really is, i never have to repeat what i want and we have such a close bond so we r always in tune with each other. i do not live on a farm though lol i live on the air force base but i love to take pics of him in the grass u know? just think its pretty. i really do wanna get him into herding or agility, i think he would be perfect for that, and give snoopy a run for his money lol!
