Once or twice, Ollie has gotten a split in one of his front paw pads. It looks like a little slice, and it's made him limp. He recently got another, and it's begun to heal - we've just been trying to keep him off sidewalks for long periods of time.

Before it was healed up completely though, he got another one on the opposite paw yesterday. We spent a lot of time at my Dad's pool yesterday, so I guess the chlorine and the rough poolside didn't do him any favors. Now he's limping again, one paw is just about healed, and one has a fresh split.

I've read things that suggest antibiotic ointment and booties. Has anyone here had problems with split paw pads?
