That is a new one on me, but it doesn't seem normal and sounds like excess bile. I think a visit to the vet is a good idea. Does he seem uncomfortable when he pees. Can you tell the color of the pee? Does he eliminate a lot or just a little bit...all things that will be imprtant to the vet. Good luck to you and your beautiful Corgi.
That does sound like something that needs a vet exam.
Let us know what the vet says :)
It could be smegma, a normal preputial dischage of mucoid glycoproteins and dead epithelial cells. Ask your vet for further details. JC had this before he was neutered, he did not have it afterwards. (and see your vet it could be something else)
Wow, I knew about this with horses...and have done the sheath cleaning...didn't realize it was a dog thing as well. I am always learning something new here!
Hello there, Wyatt had the same thing going on....I called my vet and he said its normal and nothing to worry about unless it starts ooozing out in excessive amounts. If it help maybe give your vet a call and see what he says. My vet is great he makes house calls and is open to talking about problems on the phone. If it continues he said he could give an antibiotic but otherwise its very common in male dogs and not just corgis.

Cæsar had that too when he was little, we got somthing too wash him with at the vet´s, and it went away. Think it´s normal, Cæsar is the farther of 42 puppies, so I think you have nothing to worry about, But see the vet just in case.
he doesn't act uncomfortable when he pees and its a normal lite yellow color he goes almost every two hours either way i dont want to risk it im gonna take him to the vet
Oh, I just started another discussion about the same thing before I saw this thread! My dog Bryson (4 years old neutered male) is having a similar issue, except that his discharge is severe enough to leave marks on everything he lays on... we're taking him to the vet tomorrow.

If you get any advice from your vet, please post them here! We'll do the same.
You know, I've just noticed the same thing on Theo! It's not excessive like Bryson's. It's just a little bit that gets caught in the little hairs that stick out of the end of his wee wee (I know, I'm so mature). Does everyone else's corgi have those hairs? Anyway, it's not a light yellow, it's more green, and Theo licks there a lot...well what's a lot for a dog? He usually licks there after he pees, and maybe once more after that. I'll have to watch it closely. Maybe it's just turning green over time, but it comes out yellow? I'll have to call my vet on Monday. Man, and we just finished with his ear drops. :(
We just adopted CeCe yesterday. I noticed that he had a greenish yellow discharge sticking to the hairs around the area and there was a little fresh discharge. I took him to the vet immediately and she said not to worry about a urinary tract/bladder infection unless he is urinating all the time. She said it looked like a skin irritation and prescribed him a 10 day antibiotic. If you have not gone to your vet yet then I would suggest going as soon as you are able to get him feeling better as soon as possible.
