my wife and i are currently looking for a male corgi puppy with orange and white coat. We live in louisiana. We want a corgi as a family pet, not to breed him. We do not need papers or anything. We just want a dog that we can have to cherish and love! If anyone knows someone who is having corgi puppies around the southern area, please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it.

Have you looked here ( http://www.pembrokecorgi.org/memberlist.cfm )? This is the breeders list on the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of America. Just select your state and hit submit. You could try contacting these breeders. If they do not have the puppy you are looking for, they may know of another breeder that does. Good luck!
chris, thanks so much for your help. i have looked on that website and made a few contacts. hopefully we find our puppy soon!!!
I would try starting your search here:

And not to be nit-picky or anything, but technically it's called a red and white, not orange coat. :)

I know you said you didn't care about papers, but I personally would not suggest buying a corgi without them. Usually these type of breeders don't do any health testing, don't adhere to the standard, and don't really care about anything but the money. It's also possible their dogs were bought on a spay/neuter contract from another breeder, and since they are violating that contract the puppies can't be registered. It's just kind of shady overall in my opinion. There are plenty of wonderful breeders looking to place puppies in pet homes.
Hello Stephen...how far would you travel to get a pup in the Southern area? like florida, georgia, etc? i know many good corgi breeders as well...and i agree with Jane: you do want health certificates because dogs without papers means the breeders are shady and the corgis tend to have not-so-good health problems and trust me, you dont wanna spend $$$ on vet bills for problems that wasnt on the health certificate and you gotta have the papers to back you up if anything happens. Papers doesnt mean the right to breed, as you have to pay extra to have breeding rights. but anyways, you also need health certificates to present it to your vet. good luck with your search!:)
