Satchel our fluffy red and white was taught to run to the door when we said "let's go out". He now will go nuts if we just say out or outside. So one day my husband said "do you want to go out?" and after Satchel was barking and running to the door he started saying "Is Timmy in the well? " (reference to Lassie). So now both of our corgis will bark and run to the door if you mention Timmy!! So funny!

That cracks me up. Since naming Timmy, when he hears something outside, I often ask him, "Is Lassie stuck in the well?"
With Brody, anytime we said "walk" he would go bonkers. We changed it to wander, roaming, he hasn't caught on to those yet!
Henry goes to Harry Potter instead of Hurry Pot...
ROFL! That is too funny :) Our word is "Let's go"
I love the Timmy and Lassie "in the well". Too funny! : - )

Usually I say, "Hey, ya' wanna go outside?" I also realized that almost everything fun for Charlie starts with something that sounds to him like "Heyyawanna".

"Heyyawanna go outside?"
"Heyyawanna go for a walk?"
"Heyyawanna a treat?"
"Heyyawanna go to the park?"
"Heyyawanna play ball?"

At this point, Charlie probably thinks his name is "Hey" and anything after "yawanna" doesn't really matter because it's all good.
We always say "Triley, do you want to go OUT?!" and he gets insanely excited. The best is when we ask him when he is in the living room, because then he has to run all the way across the apartment to the back door. He howls and whines as he runs, as if he is worried that the chance to go "out" will disappear or we'll go outside without him unless he gets to the door immediately. It is too cute. He perks up his head whenever he hears the word "out" in conversation, but knows it only applies to him when we say it right to him. A smart corgi!
