Great news!
Thank goodness.  I'm glad you have heard from them.
Gwynnie & Al send good vibes to all of our furry and nonfurry friends in Japan.

All Our prayers are with the poor folks in the affected areas of Japan and far-reaching other areas. As a survivor of an 8.0

quake in Italy where we lived for several years,it never leaves You.The physical as well as emotional losses are devestating.

All our hopes and prayers are going out.

Thinking of you all during this time. When you have a chance, please let us know how you are doing. I can't even imagine what you all are going thru. Praying for you all.
My thoughts and prayers are with everyone in warms way...Sophie sends a warm woof too.

Finally! My mom just called and we have heard from some friends and family in Japan and so far it's been good news. All of our family and friends in Chiba are without power but everyone is ok. One of my friends has been stuck in Tokyo and can't get home but his wife and kids are with his parents and doing fine. They all said it was the scariest thing to happen to them.

My brother's childhood best friend who lives and works in Iwate (north of Sendai on the coast) we were the most concerned about. We are very happy to hear from his parents that he just happened to be sent to Mexico on business a couple of days ago and is still in Mexico!! He has been unable to contact his co-workers so we aren't sure if he will have an apartment and work to come home to in Japan. I just think he had the best timed business trip ever!

Things are really insane over there, please continue to send your prayers and thoughts to those who have not been as lucky.

My thoughts and prayers are with those in Japan.  What devastation.....  Strong aftershocks are continuing so I hope they stay safe and warm.

I've been glued to the TV and internet since last night.  I've heard from some friends and relatives but still waiting to hear back from others.  Friends who emailed me told me of the terror and some have not been able to make it home since the roads are closed or train is not in service.  A friend said he didn't know how much damage there was until day break since he had no power and couldn't watch tv until this morning.  One of my customer sent pictures of his office and it's amazing how no one was injured in that building (ceiling collapse, fallen ceiling tiles, things toppled over, etc).

For those in the tsunami warning area please be careful.

The scary thing now is the possibility of a core meltdown, actually a multi- core meltdown at at least two different nuclear plants. My understanding (and news is mixed) is three reactors at one plant, and two at another, have lost coolant. One is reporting the cooling water is boiling.
Sounds like worse case scenario would be less like Chernobyl and more like TMI; some experts sound very concerned while others seem confident all will be well. I'm rooting for the optimists...
I just heard from a friend in Tokyo, and yes, he and his family are fine but are scared to death about the nuclear meltdown threat.  We all need to keep praying.
Praying for everyone in Japan including their families and fur babies.
