So exactly 4 weeks ago tomorrow Adora broke a toe, we took he in. She had a split and bandage on here paw as she broke a weight baring toe. She had that on for 2 week and 1 day. when she got it off there where a few sores because of the lack of oxygen under the bandage, which vet said was normal. and told us to soak it regularly in warm water and Epsom salt which we did. i was slowly getting better. then, 25 minutes ago while watching a movie my boyfriend looked over at the dogs and adora was on her side facing the opposite direction with her legs going wild, first my boyfriend thought it was her playing with rhun then just then rhun started nudging her with his head, and he put two and two together, we ran over, watched to make sure she didn`t hurt her self during it. Her eyes where wide open as much as they could be staring forward, her body rigid and all 4 legs going a mile a minute. seizure lasted about a minute. for the first minute after it stopped she tried to get up but legs where wobbly, like new born puppy, calf trying to stand. after she could she kept trying to walk around, almost like a boredom pacing. Vet is closed, and i really hate the emergency vet office, they charge an arm and leg just to look at your dog, rude, ignorant, try getting away doing bare minimum. I would rather not waste my or her time, unless she has a second. we will bring her to our vet in the morning anyways. I have herd of a dog having seizure from infections. Could her toe paw injury cause seizures? Could it be a bigger issue? they where alone all day free range of house. Except for 1 hour when the dog walker came and took them on a short walk( it is freezing out right now, where we are) and played with them. it doesn't look like they got into anything while we they where gone, so toxin can be ruled out? I am going crazy just thinking about it and worrying, anyone gone through this, any words that would help me sleep till we can see the vet would be really great. So far 30 minutes has gone buy and no second seizure, but i am not getting my hopes up, and my fingers are crossed.

Got some great news, but still bad in a way. Adora went in and got another blood test done. IT CAME BACK NORMAL, her liver enzym is back to normal and i am so thrilled for the great news, it is still bad in away because that means the cause of her seizures was poisoning. But i am so happy that she does not have epilepsy or anything else. I am so happy that she is now a happy healthy dog. Now hopefuly she stays that way. As soon as i herd the news from my boyfriend i almost cried, as once again the bad news is that there are so far 2 big popular dog parks that have been affected with thing poisoning and so far 5 reported poisoning at one and 4 at the other, and saddly non of those dogs survived. When i came home i dropped my stuff and picked her up and hung and kissed her so much. To think she was poison on two occasions 2 weeks apart and lived both time, she should be dead at 1.5, she is the luckiest dog. To think i remained farly calm both seizures thinking that seizures in and of them selves are harmless in a way. Well not if it is poisoning. Those dogs when into the convulsions and died. So for now we have gotten a membership to the SPCA off leash park, which is small compared to the open river vally parks but at least it is fenced, maintained, checked daily, and safe place we don't' have to worry about poisoning. I can't look at Adora the same way again knowing how close i was to loosing my first dog so soon  in life, and in such a cruel way, she is my little miracle in more ways than one now, and she is a fighter and survivor.
