I am just getting started trying to get my dog acclimated to having his teeth brushed with an electric brush. I've been using the fingertip brush method so far (he is a little over 2), and while most of his teeth are clean & white, the very back molars on either side of his mouth are covered with plaque. I know some people on here brush their corgi's teeth with an electric human toothbrush & was wondering if you had any tips on how you gradually got your dog comfortable with this. Tapiola doesn't mind the noise so much, but the second those whirring bristles come in contact with his teeth he reacts as though stung by a wasp & runs off to hide & cower. I don't want to torture him, but am looking for any advice before giving up & going back to the fingertip brush. I have the Oral-B with the small round head as used in this video below. Are there brushes on the market anyone recommends that might be quieter or have a little less brushing action? I had the idea of getting one of the kinds that plugs in and then letting the battery drain out a bit so the brushing action was gentler.
