Poor Peggy has the runs pretty badly today. I'm pretty sure the edible Nylabone she scarfed down last night was the culprit.

She seems to be staying pretty well hydrated. I've heard pumpkin can help, I've also heard that feeding her rice w/ some cottage cheese or chicken may help. Anyone have advice? I've also heard that I should avoid giving her any food to clear out her system...

Thanks in advance!

We had quite a few problems with Zoey having diarrhea when we first got her. I heard the rice and chicken thing also, however we never tried that because there was blood in Zoey's diarrhea so we took her straight to the vet (hopefully there is no blood in Peggy's stool or I would get her in asap). The vet has given us pills for her diarrhea on two occasions and it worked well both times.
I have used rice and plain yogurt with some green beans. I have also heard that pumpkin helps but haven't tried it. No food or treats for 24 hrs though first, just water.
