Hometown:
Glen Huntly, Melbourne Australia
About Me:
I am mad about my dog, TAFFY This is followed by my love of sci fi.I am into psychology, [used to practice 'behaviour modification' techniques on my boy] I read Tarot cards, teach Tarot and meditation. I combine my counselling skills with my intuitive skills. I have a website for my business, if anyone is interested just ask.
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
Taffy was given to me about 10 years ago. He is very bossy, noisy and nosy, follows me everywhere and very affectionate. He loves attention so I always stop when we are out walking so children can pat him. He sleeps on my bed or under it. He tries to stash his treaures underneath my bed and he sometimes needs to be told twice to take his bones outside.
I dont know if he is pure or his heritage. I dont care, I love him anyway. Not sure if he is Pembroke or Cardigan.

Taffy has been attacked and bitten a number of times, 4 by the same big black dog and both of us are nervous around other [big] dogs. Its a shame that many people think that rules and laws are for others and not for them. NO LEASHES.
I have:
Corgi mix

Awww! Your baby is so precious! He reminds me a lot of my sweet little Sam. Wow! It brings tears to my eyes! I loved my little Sam sooooo much! I've never seen another that looked so much like him. My Sam was part Corgi and part Chow. My sweet boy went to heaven in March 09. He was 15. He was my very special forever dog. There will never be another like him. Please give Taffy a hug and a kiss from Debbie and Sadie Mae :)

Hi, My dogs don't enjoy the getting wet part of a bath but they like the part where they get the shampoo scrubbed in. They love to swim though, go figure :)

Do you have a picture of Taffy taken front-on while he is standing? I'd be interested to see the shape of his legs and chest because there are distinctive differences between pembrokes and cardigans so you could have a good guess at what he's a cross of.

Its Wendy!! We don't refer to it as chop but call it docking and yes we still dock the tails. Many imports have their tails due to bans in those areas so it has been a big discussion on rewriting the ideal standard to allow a tale in the ring. Many controversial discussions on why not to do it. I do prefer a docked tail...love the bunny butt and these guys produce enough fur without the bushy tail. LOL In all honesty I'm just used to having a docked tail. There are a few breeders in the US that don't dock the tail but as the ideal standard stands per AKC..no corgi should have a tail longer then 2".

Thank you so very much. I love my dogs and why have them if they can't be with us to enjoy. Its alot of work but they are just as committed to me as I am them. I totally addicted. I'm trying to think of other announcement litter shots...any ideas? Would love to hear any suggestions. My next litter is for Valentines Day and a past puppy buyer owns a chocolate store so she is closing shop and we are getting the dogs in their for the litter announcement picture. I think it will be great.

Bear loves the water so much that we have to watch him "real close" any time we are near it. Salt water makes him sneeze and the big waves just make getting the frizby more fun. When he was just a baby (about two) he once stayed in the water so long, trying to rescue a frizby, that his fur got water logged and it weighed him down til only his little nose and eyes were above the water. Scared me to death! He wouldn't come back. He just kept swimming circles looking for that dumb frizby. I had my socks, shoes, and shirt off and was knee deep in the water when he found it. The funniest part was that when he got the frizby in his mouth his body was so deep in the water that he couldn't see where he was going and he swam the wrong way, across the pond, to get out of the water. And, we had to run around the pond to keep him from going back through the water to bring the frizby back. He also like to attack the water hose water.

Oh that is just awful about the big B. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't get my two guys out for a frolick without being terrorized!!

Bear is almost nine years old now and still very much the puppy, most of the time. I did a quick member search and it looks like there are 43 members listed as living in Australia. Sometimes (I think) people will list thier homes as just Queensland or Vicktoria and it could add a few more.
