About Me:
Grew up in Oregon and love it here. Corgi's are my favorite breed and always will be. Nutmeg is our first child and is so smart and learning alot! My husband Chris and I love the outdoors and we are also horse lovers and I ride quite a bit. I work for a CFP in Portland. Chris is a photographer and he loves hunting and fishing.

We love God, our country, family, and our corgi!
Welsh Corgi Breeder?
No
About My Corgi(s):
Nutmeg had her first birthday May 15, 2008 and is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. She loves to chase laser lights, play with her kitty friends Kitkat and Marlin. Nutmeg also loves to fetch sticks, she goes crazy if you have on in your hand and will not leave you alone. Since I work from home she is with me all of the time and you can find her laying on the floor next to me wherever I am. Nutmeg is very smart, all I have to do is tell her to go in her house and she goes in her crate like its her favorite place. When I leave she has to be in her crate or she will chew on things in the house and she hates being left in the yard or garage. She knows which toy I am askig her to get including attacking the cat when I say, "Get the kitty!" We have to excercise her every day or she gets restles and doesn't sleep well.
I have:
Pembroke

I just discovered why Nutmeg is such a picky eater... I have been feeding her the Nutro Natural chicken and oatmeal formula. To get her to eat it I have to doctor it up with cottage cheese or other things. I tried 4 different samples of natural dog foods with high protein and absolutely no grains in them. I put each sample in its own bowl as well as her normal food. She tried to eat all of the samples and left her normal food alone! So now I am feeding her Evo red meat small bites and she has… Continue

Regarding your question - My sister has a Pembroke and he is more high-strung and standoffish than my cardigans. He is not as social and seems to be content to be by himself more. Though that may be because he is an "only child" and I have always had two or three cardigans at a time. I do know that Cardigans tend to be more territorial and their herding instinct is greater - they will try to herd you and your family by gently prodding or nipping your heels! I believe that cardigans are more independently active and require less forced exercise than the Pembroke and the temperament of the Cardigan is a more laid-back one. It really depends on your own preference. Pembroke owners will tell you that they are the preferred breed, while we cardigan owners would never have any other breed!

Corgi's and horses are the perfect combination of pets lol. Where is Dundee located? I have not heard of it before. But I only ever travel either east to Wallowa or west to The Dalles and Vancouver lol.
