Odd
Max is a over a year old now and he weighs about 15 lbs. He has longer legs than molly and is much thinner. They both have papers and I saw both parents on both Max and Molly. Is Max a throw back?

It's really hard to say. A small male full grown(15 mo. or so) should be about 25#. Were the parents small? Some of my corgis are thinner than others, is Molly the correct weight? My Livvy was 21# at her last vet visit and she was about 15 months so I figure she will be 23-25# which is for her the correct size but she's a female. How much longer are his legs? The correct size when full grown should be height 10-12 " .

max has legs are about 4". Mollys are shorter. she weighs 23 lbs. maxs parents looked alot like molly I mean corgi wise.

Sorry I didn't clarify what I meant It would be from the shoulder, I just measured on of mine and her leg was 6", I will check some others later.. Was Max a runt?

Keep in mid that some Corgis mature at a slower rate. Brodie waited until almost two for his chest to fill out and he seems to still be growing. He was very lanky yet Fergie had a mature figure before she was one. 15 lbs at a year is tiny especially for a boy, but he will likely fill out more. How much older than a year is Max?

he was born aug 19 last year so almost 15 months. Molly won't be a year until the 1st of the year

Kristen is right about some being slower than others although I do think he will be on the small side yes, he should fill out more.

That's what I was thinking, too. I've heard that neutering a male before sexual maturity can actually impact their size. Don't know if that's true...
