Just as we as people or other animals we come in different sizes and so do corgis. I have 6 corgis and the all have a slightly different build so I would say their heredity is where they got their size paws. I have a year old pup that I just took back into my home that has her mom's length and shape and her dads bone structure including his size paws.My smaller female is much more compact and so are her paws.
