So I was lucky that both of mine LOVE their wellness... I mix puppy and core ocean or core lamb (puppy b/c of the DHA and the 2nd part being grain free, and high in protein) and soften it with a little water or chicken broth occasionally and they thrive on it... they even eat it right next to each other in a double diner and are so into the food that they dont' squabble at all. I also add in solid gold seameal (approx. 1/8 teaspoon each).. Once a week they get wet grain free food as a treat.. they have the same parents -- petite mom (18-20lbs) and a avg dad (25-27lbs) but Ollie is very thin by nature. He's 15 months and 21.5lbs.. when a friend commented on his being so thin, I increased his food but he didn't gain an ounce. Ollie and Prie are both happy and healthy, very active/sociable, and have great poops/soft shiny and bright coats/fast growing nails/very white teeth/good doggy breath so my vet told me I shouldn't 'fixate on nothing' and that he thought they looked a-ok. You should check in with your vet if you are very concerned before you worry yourself too much!!
If you are concerned about your pup still, it might be worth keeping some nutrical puppy around for an added calorie boost -- I keep in in their overnight bag if I'm going out of town and I know they will be playing hard all day with other dogs. Also, contact the food companies directly and ask to be sent samples or couples for their small size package -- they almost all do this and this way you can try out a few foods without dropping a ton of cash. Good luck!!
You said this same thing almost 2 years ago, haha.
