I have begun to notice in the last month or so that Frosty and my daughter Breanna act EXACTLY the same lol!!  Whenever I ask them to do something I get the same response:

1. They ignore the first command

2. They look at me like perhaps they have a hearing problem on the second command

3. They start to do what I am asking, but get distracted halfway there

4. They inform me they have decided not to do it (4yr old yells "no", Frosty barks at me)

5. I give them the I-mean-it voice.  They sulk and pout and do it as slowly as possible

6. They gripe and moan the whole time it is being done (4yr old still yelling she won't do it, even while she is doing it.  Frosty whines and moans while doing it)

This process is most apparent when I ask Bre to go potty and Frosty to go lay down.  I just think its funny.  They really are like brother and sister even though one is a dog.

They even fight like siblings... "Mom, Frosty stepped on my foot!"  "Mommy, Frosty ate my food!"  "Mom, Frosty is chasing the cat!"  while Frosty follows her around smudging her with his nose just because she thinks its gross lol!!  Kids!!

I died laughing! Thank you for a good chuckle.
I only have grandchildren and so I don't have to deal with this on a daily basis but I had to laugh and can imagine this happening:)
:o)

Seanna's like her dad--fat, lazy, and doesn't clean up her messes...

:-)

LOL.  Our fur babies are so humanlike it's scary sometimes.

I think Frosty is also herding Bre because the cat won't cooperate.

#5.  They don't come until I say, "Ex CUSE me!!"

I believe they think "Ex CUSE me!!"  means, "come".

Sometimes they respond better to an invitational, as opposed to imperative, tone.  As in, "Come, come, come!" as an invitation to a game of chase, rather than "Come, Peon.  Or Else!"

Just like kids.
