I heard that a lot of foods, like grapes, broccoli, onions are bad for dogs.
What about celery? I gave some to Shiro this morning, and he loved it! More importantly, it took him longer to eat it than a piece of carrot.
But is it OK for a dog to eat celery?

I don't know off hand. I usually do google searches like "celery safe dog?" and if I'm only getting things from yahoo answers or something (reader input results, in other words) I throw the word "vet" into my search.

It's how I discovered, for example, that it was acorns making Jack sick every fall.

Here's a link that says celery is ok:

gotta love that google search engine!!
Yeah yeah yeah
Celery is ok provided u cut them up. Do not give them the whole stalk and pull the string parts off.
good to know! He ate a small stalk this morning, but I'll just cut it up and put in his food next time.
